The Kaduna State Senior Secondary Schools Education Board (KADSSEB) has commenced the 2026 promotion interview for eligible teachers across the state’s three senatorial zones.
The exercise is being conducted simultaneously at Barewa College, Zaria (Zone One), Sarduna Memorial College, Ungwan Gado, Kaduna (Zone Two), and Government Secondary School, Kafanchan (Zone Three).
According to the Board, the exercise, which runs from August 4 to 6, is expected to cover 10,554 eligible teachers across the state.
KADSSEB said the first day of the exercise was orderly and hitch-free, with the interview process progressing smoothly at all three centres. Many of the participating teachers reportedly expressed satisfaction with the transparent and professional conduct of the exercise.
The Board noted that teacher promotion remains a key incentive for rewarding diligence, boosting morale and strengthening professionalism in the education sector.
Some of the teachers commended the Kaduna State Government for prioritising their welfare and career progression, saying the regular promotion exercise has renewed confidence and motivation among the teaching workforce.
KADSSEB stated that the promotion exercise is being conducted on the principles of transparency, fairness and merit, while assuring all eligible teachers of equal opportunity throughout the process.
The Board also appreciated stakeholders, security agencies, interview panel members and support staff for their cooperation, expressing confidence that the exercise would be successfully concluded as scheduled.
