The Kano State Agency for Mass Education SAME, has urged participants of its capacity-building workshop to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training in the discharge of their duties.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Binta Abubakar, made the call at the closing ceremony of a two-day workshop held in Zaria.
Dr. Binta said the training was organised to strengthen the capacity of Adult and Community Education Officers, Zonal Directors and Directors to enable them perform their responsibilities more effectively.
She urged the participants to make maximum use of the knowledge and experience gained during the workshop, noting that the training would contribute to improving the effectiveness and productivity of the Agency.
Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner for Education, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Malam Bashir Baffa Ahmad, commended the Executive Secretary for organising the capacity-building programme.
He assured the Agency of the Ministry’s continued support and cooperation, stressing that the Ministry was ready to provide the necessary assistance to enable the Agency achieve its set targets.
Malam Bashir also encouraged participants to utilise the knowledge acquired from the workshop for the benefit of the Agency and people of Kano State.
The two-day workshop ended with a renewed commitment by the Agency and the Ministry of Education to strengthen staff capacity and improve the delivery of mass education programmes across the state.
