The Kano state government KNSG has called on the public to ensure that their sacrificial meat is well cooked and hygienically kept under good condition.
The State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf made the call in a sallah message signed by the public relations officer of the ministry Ibrahim Abdullahi in Kano
The Commissioner advised that the meat has to be properly cooked and fried, and stored in clean containers.

“the meat would be protected against insects that may cause havoc to health”
The commissioner stressed the need to dispose animals’ feaces immediately after slaughter in addition to using water and detergent the get rid of blood stains.
Dr. Labaran cautioned the public against consuming excessive and hot meat as it may lead to complications.
“any sign of ailment should henceforth be reported to the nearest health facility for medical attention”
The Commissioner then noted with satisfaction of the excellent performance of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf within one year.
