Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has signed three new laws aimed at driving growth and development in the state.
The laws, which were recently passed by the Kano State House of Assembly, were assented to by the Governor at the 25th Kano State Executive Council meeting.

The three new laws are:
Kano State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (Amendment) Law, 2025: This law is designed to improve the state’s transportation system, making it more efficient and effective.
Kano State Centre for Disease Control and Prevention Law, 2025: This law establishes a center to prevent and control diseases, promoting public health and wellbeing in the state.

Kano State Security Neighborhood Watch Law, 2025: This law aims to strengthen community policing and neighborhood watch initiatives, enhancing security and safety in the state.

He expressed appreciation for the support and cooperation of the people, urging them to sustain the momentum to achieve the administration’s goals.
The Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, noted that the signing of the three new laws demonstrates the administration’s dedication to improving the lives of Kano State citizens.
