The Jigawa State Government has cautioned beneficiaries of donations from the Qatar Charity Foundation against misusing or selling the items provided to them.
Governor Umar Namadi stated this while speaking at the official launching and handing over of lively support to sixty beneficiaries by Qatar charity foundation in Jigawa State held at Banquet Hall, Dutse.
He expressed his dismay at the habit of some beneficiaries of the empowerment programme of misusing or selling the support.
He said the state Government has mandated all the beneficiaries to sign the utilisation agreement to ensure proper use of the items.

“You signed a utilisation agreement to ensure that the items given to you are judiciously used to improve your economic status” Gov. Namadi stated
In his response, Ambassador Al-Hajiri commended Governor Namadi for his administration’s notable achievements across education, agriculture, infrastructure, and social development.
He explained that Jigawa is unique in its political, economic and societal values, as well as agricultural development.
According to him, “Your vision of a better Jigawa State through several developmental programmes and initiatives is really commendable, and it is reflected in the fact that Jigawa State is, today, one of the most secure states in Nigeria,” he said.

State Commissioner, Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and special duties, Auwalu Danladi Sankara, said items distributed included 20 bikes, 20 NAPEP bikes, and 20 grinding engines, as well as ₦50,000 to each of the beneficiaries.
He commended Qatar for its contribution through the Qatar Charity Foundation aimed at reducing poverty in the community.
