The Director General of Talbiya School of Hajj and Umra Studies, Dr. Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ambassador Isma’il Abba Yusuf, at his office in Abuja.
During the visit, Dr. Ibn Sina congratulated the NAHCON Chairman on his recent appointment, describing it as well-deserved and based on merit. He expressed confidence in the chairman’s capacity to lead reforms that would enhance Hajj operations in Nigeria.
The Talbiya DG also highlighted the core mandate of the institution, noting that it focuses on education and enlightenment as essential tools for achieving Hajj Mabrur (an accepted pilgrimage).
He emphasized the importance of proper orientation and guidance for intending pilgrims, stressing that knowledge and spiritual preparedness are key to a successful Hajj experience.
Responding, Ambassador Isma’il Abba Yusuf expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the objectives of the Talbiya School in promoting awareness and proper understanding of Hajj rites.
The NAHCON Chairman acknowledged the critical role of education in improving pilgrimage outcomes and pledged support for initiatives that align with the commission’s goals.
He assured that NAHCON is open to collaboration with Talbiya in its various programmes, particularly in areas that would enhance the spiritual, social, and administrative aspects of Hajj operations.
Ambassador Yusuf further noted that such partnerships are vital to strengthening the overall Hajj framework in Nigeria and ensuring better service delivery to pilgrims.
Both parties agreed on the need for sustained cooperation to improve the quality and success of Hajj exercises in the country.
