As preparations intensify for the forthcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, the Chief Executive Officer of Doma United FC, Alhaji Suleiman Umar, popularly known as Ma Doma, has met with newly invited players participating in the club’s ongoing screening exercise.
Addressing the players, the Doma United CEO welcomed them to the club and encouraged them to give their best throughout the screening process, assuring them that selection would be based strictly on merit.
He emphasized that every player would be given a fair opportunity to showcase their abilities, regardless of background or affiliation.
“Any player that is good will be picked. We believe in ability, commitment, and hard work,” Umar stated.
The CEO described Doma United as “a land of grace,” noting that the club remains committed to providing opportunities for talented, disciplined, and dedicated footballers to develop and advance their careers.
He urged the players to remain focused, maintain discipline, and demonstrate their talents on the pitch, stressing that outstanding performances during the screening exercise would earn them a place in the squad.
According to him, the screening exercise is a critical part of the club’s preparations for the new NPFL campaign as Doma United seeks to build a strong and competitive team capable of achieving its objectives in the league.
The exercise has attracted a number of aspiring footballers eager to secure a place in the squad ahead of the highly anticipated season, with club officials closely monitoring performances to identify players who fit the team’s vision and ambitions.
Doma United is expected to conclude the screening exercise in the coming weeks before commencing the next phase of preparations for the 2026/2027 NPFL season.
