    Coalition reaffirms support for Sunusi Lamido as Emir of Kano

    The Coalition for the Protection of Democratic right group in collaboration with the movement for the Protection of traditional Institutions under Usmanu Danfodio dynasty has reaffirmed their unwavering commitment and solidarity to Muhammad Sunusi II as the Emir of Kano State.

    In a statement signed and issued to Newsmen by the convener Amb, Adamu Jikan Manu On Friday.

    “He said, the recent emirship tussle has brought to the forefront the values and principles that define our community, and it is essential to clarify our stance and express our gratitude to those who have upheld the integrity of our traditions”

    Amb Adamu Jikan Manu further expressed, “ we are unequivocally reaffirm our unflinching support for Sarki Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano. His exemplary leadership, vision, and commitment to the development of our emirate have earned him the admiration and respect of the people of Kano. Sarki Muhammadu Sanusi II embodies the qualities of a true leader, and his continued reign is vital for the progress and prosperity of our region”.

    Amb, Jikan Manu reaffirmed,” It is deeply regrettable, that certain politicians have sought to interfere with the emirship process for their selfish interests. Such actions undermine the sanctity of our traditions and the collective will of the people”.

    However Jikan Manu acknowledged the intrusion of political motives into the emirate’s affairs is not only inappropriate but detrimental to the unity and stability of our community.We strongly criticize these negative influences and call upon all political actors to respect the cultural and historical significance of the emirship”

    “Despite these challenges, we have witnessed the strength of our institutions and the resilience of our people. We extend our profound gratitude to the Kano State House of Assembly for their decisive action in repealing the controversial bill that threatened the stability of our emirate. Their commitment to justice and fairness is a beacon of hope for all citizens of Kano”

    Furthermore, “we express our sincere thanks to the Governor of Kano State for assenting to the repealed bill”.
