The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Kogi State Directorate, has called for stronger collaboration with the Kogi State Government to deepen sensitisation programmes targeting youths and students across the state.
The State Director of NOA in Kogi State, Mrs Ayedime Alli Aileku, made the call during a familiarisation visit to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Student Matters, Hon. Oladele John Nihi, in his office in Lokoja.

Mrs Aileku thanked the Special Adviser for the collaboration between his office and the agency in the past, saying the visit was aimed at exploring additional areas of cooperation on issues of mutual interest and mandate.
She described the NOA as the foremost government agency responsible for propagating government policies and programmes and reorienting citizens, noting that the strategic role of young people in national development made stronger partnerships with relevant stakeholders necessary.

Responding, Hon. Oladele John Nihi welcomed the State Director and appreciated the NOA for offering its platform for collaboration with the state government in sensitising the people.
Nihi recalled that a programme had previously been scheduled for collaboration between his office and the agency, but was still being developed, expressing optimism that it would soon be implemented.
He said the Governor remained committed to youth development and had been seeking investments to create an enabling environment for young people to thrive in the state.

The Special Adviser also clarified his role in coordinating students and pledged to facilitate the NOA’s access to educational institutions across the state to enable effective delivery of its programmes.
The visit, which was held in a convivial atmosphere, ended with both parties expressing their readiness to strengthen cooperation for the benefit of youths, students and the people of Kogi State.
