Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has commended the empowerment programme initiated by the member representing Dambatta/Makoda Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.
Garo, who represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the launch of the programme at the Senator Barau Jibrin Stadium in Dambatta, described the intervention as a significant contribution to improving the socio-economic wellbeing of constituents.

The empowerment programme included the distribution of 30 cars, 50 tricycles, 120 motorcycles, 200 irrigation machines, 200 sewing machines and N70 million in cash to beneficiaries.
The deputy governor said the programme was reportedly the seventh empowerment initiative organised by Chidari, urging residents of Dambatta and Makoda to support the APC administration for continuity and development.
He also called on the people to vote for APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, while congratulating the beneficiaries and urging them to use the items productively.
Garo pledged to provide 10 bicycles to an association of persons with special needs.

Speaking at the event, Chidari said the empowerment programme was part of his efforts to alleviate hardship and improve the livelihoods of his constituents.
He said the initiative would continue, adding that he had also supported students pursuing higher education within and outside Nigeria, as well as interventions in roads, education and healthcare across the constituency.
Chidari thanked Governor Yusuf for his support and expressed confidence that APC candidates would emerge victorious in Dambatta and Makoda Local Government Areas.
Also speaking, Kano State APC Chairman, Haruna Doguwa, praised the initiative and urged residents to support Chidari and other APC candidates.

The member representing Gwarzo/Kabo Federal Constituency, Babangida Gandu, and the Commissioner for Education, Dr Ali Haruna Makoda, also commended Chidari for what they described as his commitment to the development of the constituency.
Chairman of Dambatta Local Government Area, Jamilu Abubakar, assured the gathering of the council’s support for the APC and urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the empowerment items.
