A 400-level Mechatronics Engineering student of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Suleiman Arabi Suleiman, has emerged winner of the Dabo Hackathon Innovation Challenge 2025, securing a ₦5 million grant for his outstanding innovation.
Suleiman, who maintains an impressive cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.96, received the cheque at the closing ceremony of the hackathon.
His victory marks a significant milestone for Bayero University, Kano, underscoring the institution’s growing reputation in innovation, entrepreneurship and technology-driven problem-solving.
The Dabo Hackathon Innovation Challenge is designed to encourage young innovators to develop practical solutions to real-world challenges through technology and creativity.
