    NAWOJ Mourns 22 Kano Athletes Lost in Auto Tragedy

    The National Secretariat of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) extends its deepest condolences to the good people of Kano State following a horrific road accident along the Kano-Zaria expressway, claiming the lives of over 20 athletes and leaving others seriously injured.

    This devastating incident has sent shockwaves through the sports community.

    According to reports, the victims, mostly young athletes, were returning home after representing Kano State at the National Sports Festival.

    NAWOJ National Chairperson, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, expressed her heartfelt condolences from Saudi Arabia, highlighting the tremendous loss their untimely demise poses to their families, friends, and the entire sports fraternity.

    NAWOJ prays for the speedy recovery of the injured and offers heartfelt condolences to the state government, families, and loved ones of the deceased. May they find strength during this difficult time.
