President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies through enhanced funding, training, and the provision of modern equipment to effectively tackle insecurity across the country.
The President made the pledge during the passing-out ceremony of 1,187 cadets of the 7th Regular Course at the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano.

Represented by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Senator George Akume, the President said his administration remains dedicated to addressing the root causes of insecurity while promoting economic development, social cohesion, and national stability.
He commended the Police Academy for its achievements and urged the graduating cadets to uphold professionalism, discipline, and integrity as they begin their careers in the force.
“As you pass out today, you are embarking on a journey. Your role is pivotal in maintaining peace, stability, and trust in our communities.”
The Commandant of Police Academy Wudil (POLAC), AIG Patrick Adedeji Atayero, noted that the cadets underwent rigorous academic and professional training to prepare them for the challenges ahead.

He described the 7th Regular Course as the largest graduating set in the history of the academy.
AIG Atayero also applauded President Tinubu for his commitment to the growth and advancement of the institution, noting that recent reforms and investments have strengthened POLAC’s capacity to meet the demands of modern policing.
He described the passing-out ceremony as a major catalyst that will significantly boost security across the country.
The Commandant noted that the newly commissioned cadets will enhance Nigeria’s security architecture, especially in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to recruit an additional 20,000 police officers to strengthen manpower and operational capacity.
The ceremony was also attended by the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf; service chiefs, the representative of the Director General of FRCN, officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other key stakeholders.
