Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has made a generous donation of $10,000 towards the rebuilding of a 200-year-old mosque in Damagaram, Niger Republic.
The historic mosque, which recently collapsed, will be reconstructed with the help of this donation.
The Sultan of Damagaram, Alhaji Abubakar Sanda-Umar, expressed his gratitude to the governor, stating that this gesture will strengthen the long-standing relationship between Katsina and Damagaram, which has flourished for over 500 years.
According to Alhaji Ya’u Umar Gwajo-gwajo, the Special Adviser on Political Matters to the governor, Governor Radda’s donation is driven by his passion for the social and spiritual development of the people of Damagaram and Niger Republic,
The reconstructed mosque aims to instil Islamic moral discipline and address social issues in the community.
