No fewer than 1,000 orphans and widows have benefited from Ramadan and Sallah support distributed by the Nasara Foundation in Kebbi State.
The Chief Press Secretary to the First Lady of the state, Khadijat Saidu, disclosed this in a statement issued to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
According to the statement, the initiative was aimed at bringing smiles to the faces of beneficiaries in Kangiwa town as part of activities marking the Ramadan and Sallah celebrations.
The statement further noted that the foundation was established by the First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajia Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, to support vulnerable groups across the state.
Items distributed included Sallah clothing for orphans and bags of rice for widows to enable them celebrate the festive period with joy and dignity.
The outreach team, led by the State Coordinator of the foundation, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Bala, delivered a message on behalf of the First Lady, highlighting the importance of compassion, kindness and generosity, especially during the holy month and festive season.
He explained that the initiative reflects the First Lady’s commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind during celebrations, regardless of social or economic background.
Bala added that the foundation’s humanitarian efforts have continued to positively impact the lives of the less privileged across the state.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to God and appreciated the founder, Hajia Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, as well as the Nasara Foundation team, for their support and kindness.
