The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has participated in a high-level stakeholders’ engagement convened by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in Abuja to discuss the Federal Government’s approved reporting structure for the Bureau.
The engagement brought together major stakeholders from the aviation, maritime, rail, road transportation, emergency management, law enforcement, and national security sectors to strengthen collaboration toward building a safer and more coordinated transportation system in Nigeria.

The Bureau commended the leadership of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for championing the national initiative and reinforcing the link between transportation safety, emergency response, and national security.
NSIB also acknowledged the contribution of the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, whose presentation on institutional reforms, policy coordination, and global best practices highlighted the significance of the ongoing transition within Nigeria’s transportation safety architecture.
According to the Bureau, the engagement reaffirmed stakeholders’ collective commitment to strengthening investigative independence, enhancing inter-agency coordination, and advancing a more effective multimodal transportation safety framework that aligns with international standards.
