The Kano state house of assembly KNHA has called on the state government to construct a drainage at Bello Maitama road in Tarauni local government area.
This was sequel to a motion of urgent public importance moved by member representing Tarauni Alhaji Kabiru Dahiru Sule during plenary presided over by the speaker Alhaji Jib”il Isma’il Falgore.
Mover of the motion argued that, construction of the drainage will go a long way in reducing flooding and other environmental hazards.
He maintained that, during rainy season it takes several hours to access the road due to lack of drainage that will allow free flow of water.
Seconding the motion, members representing Tudun wada and Kano municipal Alhaji Sule Lawan Shuwaki and Sarki Aliyu Daneji, highlighted the importance of drainages in the area.
After careful deliberations the house unanimously adopted a resolution and called on the state government to construct a drainage from filling station to Bello Maitama’s house in Tarauni local government area.
Earlier the speaker Kano state house of assembly Alhaji Jibril Isma’il welcomed students from the department of political science federal college of education FCE Kano.
The speaker also Condoled government and people of Jigawa state over the unfortunate tanker explosion that claimed several lives.
The house adjourned it’s sitting to Monday 28th October 2024 in a motion moved by the majority leader Lawan Hussaini Dala.
