“It is inspiring to see initiatives like this that celebrate our shared heritage while bridging the gap between our soldiers and the communities they protect. These events remind us of the strength in our diversity and the importance of nurturing it for a brighter future,” he stated.

The Commissioner also urged the Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Tourism to increase support for similar initiatives, emphasizing their potential to promote peace, unity, and cultural appreciation.

“Our soldiers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and stability of our communities. Events like WASA provide an opportunity to express our gratitude while fostering mutual respect and understanding,” he added.

Comrade Waiya expressed optimism that through collaboration and shared cultural experiences, the continent could achieve a more cohesive and harmonious society.

He concluded by assuring the Kano State government’s continued support for the military in strengthening existing cordial relationships. He also prayed for enduring peace and unity in Nigeria and across Africa.
