The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA), in collaboration with the Amalgamated Orphans Fairness and Justice Society, has concluded plans to enroll 10,000 orphans across Kano State into the Kano State Contributory Healthcare Scheme.
The plan was finalized during a strategic planning meeting chaired by the Executive Secretary of KSCHMA, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar.

Discussions at the meeting focused on developing a coordinated framework for the identification, mobilization, documentation, and enrollment of orphans across all local government areas of the state.
Key issues addressed included enrollment procedures, data verification processes, geographic coverage, implementation timelines, and compliance with KSCHMA’s operational guidelines to ensure transparency and efficiency.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar reaffirmed KSCHMA’s commitment to inclusive and equitable healthcare delivery, particularly for vulnerable children.
She noted that the proposed enrollment aligns with the Kano State Government’s social protection agenda and its commitment to ensuring access to essential healthcare services for all residents.

Also speaking,leader of the group, Malam Musa Magaji Gausu commended KSCHMA for the partnership and assured the Agency of the Society’s full cooperation in mobilizing orphans statewide, ensuring accurate data collection, and supporting a seamless enrollment process.
The meeting ended with an agreement to adopt a joint implementation framework, clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and immediate follow-up actions to commence the statewide enrollment exercise.
