Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, has stressed the importance of women journalists in advocating for the rights of women and children in society.
He made this statement during a courtesy visit from the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Kano State Chapter at his palace.

The delegation, led by Comrade Wasila Ladan, National Secretary of NAWOJ, congratulated the Emir on his reinstatement and commended his efforts in promoting women’s rights and development.
The Emir acknowledged NAWOJ’s work in mobilizing women and expressed hope that their activities would continue to yield positive results.
