Governor Malam Umar Namadi has promised to continue to pursue inclusive,people-focused development for a Greater Jigawa.
Governor Namadi stated this while speaking after receiving prestigious Governor of the Year 2024 award by the Leadership Newspaper Group at its Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony, held today at the State House Old Banquet Hall in Abuja
The Governor was recognised alongside other distinguished leaders, including several state governors and eminent Nigerians, who have made outstanding contributions in various fields.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Namadi expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Leadership Newspaper for what he described as an “inspirational and revered honour.”
He commended the media organisation for its unwavering commitment to promoting national discourse and acknowledged the significance of the event’s theme, which centred on fiscal reforms and governance under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Governor Namadi reaffirmed his dedication to quality governance.
He stated that the award would serve as added motivation to accelerate the implementation of key developmental projects across Jigawa State.
