The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA), in collaboration with an NGO convened a high-level 2025 Quarter Four Facility Engagement Meeting aimed at enhancing service delivery, operational efficiency, and overall performance across accredited public health facilities in the state.
The meeting, brought together KSCHMA desk officers, directors, technical teams, and key health sector stakeholders to assess progress made so far, identify operational challenges, and align on strategic priorities for improving healthcare delivery under the state’s contributory health scheme.
Speaking on behalf of the Executive Secretary of KSCHMA, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar, the Director of Administration and General Services, Amina Sani Usman, reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to quality improvement, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
She noted that regular engagement with health facilities is essential for sustaining public trust, improving coordination, and ensuring that enrollees receive timely and patient-centered healthcare services.
Also speaking, CHAI representative Amina Abubakar commended KSCHMA for its leadership and the significant progress recorded in strengthening the state’s health system.
She reiterated CHAI’s commitment to supporting the Agency through technical assistance, capacity building, and evidence-based interventions geared towards raising facility performance standards and improving health outcomes for residents of Kano State.
During the engagement, participants reviewed core performance indicators, documentation and claims processes, operational bottlenecks, and facility-level challenges. The meeting also provided a platform for open dialogue, peer learning, and alignment of performance expectations for the year ahead.
