The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been suspended as a member of APC in Ganduje ward.
Executive members of Ganduje ward, in Dawakin-Tofa local government area of Kano state announced the suspension of Dr. Ganduje over alleged corruption.
Addressing journalists in the state capital, the legal adviser of the ward Haladu Gwanjo Ganduje said the ward accused the former Governor of gross misconduct and misappropriation of public funds during his administration in Kano.
Gwanjo revealed that members resolved to suspend his membership after a vote of no confidence passed on the acting National Chairman of the party due to his inability to clear his name from a wide range of allegation of corruption particularly the widely celebrated dollar video.
Meanwhile in a counter to the decision the Kano State APC Working Committee says it has taken a drastic measures against the Ward Party Leaders who took the decision of suspending the National Chairman of the Party, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje from the Party.
The APC Dawakin Tofa Local Government Chairman, Inusa Suleiman Dawanau, told Newsmen that those behind the suspension of the National Chairman were cut in Anti Party activities with their records of meetings with opposition exposed.
Adopting suspension of the Wards APC Leaders Behind the suspension of the National Chairman of the Party, Ganduje, the State working committee said they have sanctioned them for six months and a special investigations panel has been set up to verify several allegations against them.
