The Kano State Hisbah Board has promoted its 44 Local Government Commanders across the state during a ceremony held at the Board’s headquarters in Kano.
Speaking during the promotion exercise, the Commander General of the Board, Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, said the promotion was based on the officers’ dedication, commitment, and hard work in carrying out their responsibilities.

Daurawa urged the commanders to intensify their efforts and further improve their performance as a way of justifying the confidence reposed in them through the promotion.
The officers, who were previously at the rank of Assistant Superintendents, were elevated to the rank of Hisbah Superintendents.
The Commander General also advised the promoted officers to maintain professionalism and patience in the discharge of their duties while avoiding actions capable of tarnishing the image and reputation of the Board.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Hamidan Tanko Alaska, who is the Commander of Municipal Local Government and Chairman of the Forum of the 44 Local Government Hisbah Commanders, expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Board for the promotion.

He described the elevation as timely and well-deserved, while calling on his colleagues to continue demonstrating honesty, hard work, dedication, trustworthiness, and commitment to duty.
Among those who assisted the Commander General during the decoration exercise were Acting Commander General Mujahid Aminuddeen Abubakar, Khadija Sagir Suleman, and other senior officials of the Board.
