The Nigeria Forest Security Service NFSS has deployed 1,314 personnel across the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State to enhance security during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
The Kano State Commander of the NFSS, Abdullahi Al’ameen, disclosed this in an interview on Wednesday in Kano.
According to him, the personnel have been strategically stationed at major roads, Eid prayer grounds, markets, and other public places to maintain order and support relevant security agencies throughout the festive period.
Al’ameen explained that the command would collaborate with the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps, and other sister agencies to strengthen security across the state before, during, and after the celebrations.
“The deployment is part of proactive measures aimed at safeguarding lives and property, as well as ensuring hitch-free movement of residents and visitors during the Sallah festivities,” he said.
“We have mobilised our personnel to all 44 local government areas to provide adequate security coverage during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations,” Al’ameen added.
The state commander also reaffirmed the commitment of the service to supporting government efforts toward maintaining peace, law, and security across Kano State during and beyond the festive season.
