The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has commended the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency following an inspection of facilities put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of Hajj operations in the state.
The leader of the NCAA delegation, Engr. Abba Shuaibu Babagana, made this known during an official visit to Kebbi State to assess the level of preparedness ahead of the airlift of intending pilgrims.
During the visit, NCAA officials inspected several key facilities at the Kauran Gwandu Hajj Camp to evaluate the readiness of the state for the upcoming pilgrimage operations.

The delegation carefully examined the camp’s ICT Centre, where digital documentation and pilgrims’ data management are carried out to facilitate a seamless process for intending pilgrims.
They also inspected the conference hall, which serves as a venue for meetings and coordination activities, as well as the screening hall where medical checks, documentation verification, and other screening procedures are conducted to ensure that all intending pilgrims meet the required travel standards.

In addition, the NCAA officials toured the general environment of the Hajj camp and expressed satisfaction with the level of cleanliness, organisation, and the availability of facilities designed to support pilgrims during the preparation stage of the pilgrimage.
According to the delegation, the infrastructure and arrangements put in place by the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency reflect the commitment of the state government to ensuring a smooth, safe, and well-organised Hajj operation.
The visit forms part of routine assessments carried out by the NCAA to ensure that states comply with aviation and operational standards required for the successful airlift of pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
