Idris stated this while speaking as Special Guest Speaker at the APC North West Youth Pally held in Dutse, Jigawa State, where young Nigerians gathered to celebrate two years of progress under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He noted that President Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon trust in Nigerian youth by entrusting them with real leadership roles and opportunities.
“From cabinet appointments to digital innovation and education reforms, young Nigerians are not just part of the story they are the drivers of it,”.
Highlighting key youth-centered achievements, Idris mentioned the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has disbursed ₦116 billion to over 620,000 students, and the 3MTT Programme that has attracted nearly two million applicants toward creating three million digital and technical jobs nationwide.

He also cited the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative, which has certified one million Nigerians across 25 trades, as well as the Rural Electrification Agency’s Energizing Education Programme powering universities like Bayero University Kano and Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.
On economic reforms, Idris said the new Nigeria Tax Act, effective January 2026, will exempt small businesses earning ₦100 million or less from company income and capital gains taxes, allowing young entrepreneurs to reinvest in their ventures.
He further highlighted programmes such as the MSME Clinics, the $517 million iDICE initiative to boost the digital and creative economy, and Nigeria’s 400% Eurobond oversubscription which he described as proof of growing investor confidence in the country’s economy.
Idris also pointed to Nigeria’s recent removal from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Grey List as evidence of the administration’s strengthened global credibility.
Calling on youth to reject fake news and divisive rhetoric, he urged them to “use their voices to build, not destroy,” emphasizing that Tinubu’s leadership is about giving every Nigerian “a fair chance to succeed.”
The event was attended by Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi; Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Haruna Aliyu; Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande; Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmed; APC National Youth Leader, Dr. Dayo Israel; and several other dignitaries and party leaders from the North West.
