The Caretaker Committee Chairman Gaya Local Government area Alhaji Abubakar Jazuli Usman Gaya, has taken a significant step towards empowering women in the community by providing cash grants to one hundred women to improve their businesses.
He explained that each woman received fifty thousand naira aimed at supporting female entrepreneurs.
Alhaji Abubakar pointed out that he hopes the kind gesture would enable beneficiaries expand their businesses, increase their income, and improve their quality of life.
NNPP Party Elder in Gaya Comrade Baffa Sani Gaya said the cash grants would enable the women to invest in their businesses, purchase necessary equipment, and expand their operations.
He stressed that the empowerment initiative is part of Kano State Governments KNSG commitment to promoting economic growth and development in the local community.
Some of the beneficiaries from Gamoji, Kademi and Balan wards Hindatu Salisu, Hafsat Bello Ibrahim and Habiba Ladan expressed their gratitude for the support.
They highlighted that, the cash grants will have a significant impact on their businesses and livelihoods, and pledged to use the funds wisely and work hard to achieve success in their entrepreneurial ventures.
NNPP party Chairman of the area Alhaji Aminu Suleiman Gaya and NNPP Caucus Chairman Hon Ado Aminu Kademi were among the dignitaries who spoke at the occasion.
