During the meeting, members reviewed a draft framework containing 16 strategic pillars grouped under six thematic areas, with clearly defined strategic objectives, key activities and performance indicators.
The committee also deliberated on Governor Yusuf’s priorities and strategic vision for a second term and agreed to engage stakeholders from both government and non-government sectors to generate innovative ideas and policy recommendations.
The engagement, according to the committee, is aimed at producing a comprehensive, inclusive and people-centred blueprint that will consolidate the achievements of the current administration while accelerating the state’s development.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the committee, Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, stressed the importance of teamwork, professionalism, resilience and patriotism in delivering the assignment.
Members also pledged their commitment to the committee’s mandate and underscored the need for broad stakeholder consultations to ensure citizens contribute to the policy development process.

The committee will work under the supervision of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, and is expected to invite memoranda from serving commissioners to enrich the document and strengthen inclusiveness.
