The Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA) Kano State coordinating office is set to unveil a new project, Early Child Learning Advancement Programme (e-CLAP).
The Kano state CSACEFA coordinator Dr Auwalu Halilu made the disclosure during a monthly meeting of the coalition.

He explained that the project is expected to be unveiled soon at SUBEB headquarters.
According to him the e-CLAP initiative focuses on improving learning outcomes and increasing educational equity for early grade children and ensuring that every child has a right to accessible quality and equitable education.
He pointed out that e- CLAP aims to combine the strengths of children, families, governments and communities, and harness innovative, cost-effective strategies to level the playing field for all children.
The coordinator stressed that the new initiative will support the achievement of SDG 4 by 2030 through improved planning and by addressing some of the systemic barriers that hinder the implementation of an effective education strategy.

Dr. Auwal maintained that the e-CLAP initiative focuses on improving learning outcomes and increasing educational equity for early grade children and ensuring that every child has a right to accessible quality and equitable education.
“public awareness and sensitization on the use of mother tongue approach and tailored technology for literacy and numeracy enhancement of early grade children and for stakeholders in the project States”
“Establishment of Safe Spaces for 80 early grade children in at least 4 project schools.
“Commemoration of 2 relevant global advocacy moments to raise awareness on the rights of early grade children in fragile and conflict areas to safe and quality literacy and numeracy.
Other objectives of the initiative include “Capacity building for teachers and school administrators on new techniques, well-tailored technology and application of non-formal education curriculum for teaching and learning literacy and numeracy”
“Advocacy engagement with education duty bearers and gatekeepers.”
