In a desperate attempt to give the present administration a soft landing, some sponsored blackmailers have once again resorted to throwing baseless claims against the personality of Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai.
Unfortunately, Madam Sa’adiyyah Adebisi Hassan has chosen to ignore present realities, but the facts remain visible to anyone willing to see. You can argue, you can attack, but the truth stands as a clear testament.
I have taken time to examine these mischievous allegations, and they are uncalled for. Let us compare them with the record of El-Rufai himself. It should be noted that El-Rufai has consistently given a good account of himself, silencing false narratives promoted by those bent on twisting his achievements for political reasons best known to them.
It is on record that while serving as Governor of Kaduna State, El-Rufai spoke to the then Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai, in December 2019, saying:
“I don’t think there is any Senatorial Zone in Nigeria that has produced Senior Military Officers and Service Chiefs like the Southern part of Kaduna State. I therefore request that you consider establishing a Command Secondary School in the Southern part of our state to enable the younger ones who have the ambition of joining the Military to find it easy for them to achieve their dreams.”
How then can anyone portray him as an enemy of Southern Kaduna? Such claims are not only sad but laughable.
What we are witnessing is a familiar pattern: attempts to drag El-Rufai into the politics of religion and ethnicity. But allegations of this nature will not succeed. Instead, they highlight his rare qualities—integrity, competence, and result-oriented governance—contrasted with the failures of those who seek to malign him.
If Adebisi truly has claims, she should revisit El-Rufai’s record rather than resort to cheap shots and lies. His governance has never been an issue of contention except among ethnic jingoists and political dark forces.
El-Rufai is an institution—exceptional, bold, and trusted not only in Northern Nigeria but across the country. His courage to speak truth to power has made him stand tall as an achiever par excellence.
On the matter of not serving in the Tinubu cabinet, history speaks for itself. Recall President Tinubu’s attendance at the Kaduna Economic Summit, what followed is already part of the record. El-Rufai, like every Nigerian, has the moral right to share or repost articles as he deems fit.
To accuse him of weaponizing religion is false; rather, he has consistently exposed incompetence, bad governance, and policies that have set Nigeria back.
Poverty, unemployment, inflation, and corruption rankings all testify to the failures of today’s administration.
Meanwhile, insecurity has worsened. Banditry and armed herdsmen have destroyed over 30,000 farmlands since 2024 in Kaduna, Zamfara, and Katsina. Kidnappers raid military barracks, bandits shoot down aircraft, and civilians pay ransom daily.
This is not governance, it is failure. And using propaganda to mask these realities only insults the sensibilities of Nigerians.
As faith in the current administration declines, 2027 approaches. Nigerians are yearning for change, and leaders of calibre like Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai are already being looked upon to lead the vanguard of national renewal, alongside other eminent Nigerians.
In conclusion, the allegations against El-Rufai are baseless and politically motivated. His record speaks louder than propaganda: integrity, competence, and bold leadership. History will judge him not by the noise of detractors but by the tangible impact of his governance.
It’s not yet over until it’s over. And when the dust settles, El-Rufai’s legacy will remain a clear example of leadership anchored in truth, courage, and service to the people.
