The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has called on ad-hoc staff involved in the 2026 Hajj operations to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and accountability in the discharge of their duties.
The Director-General of the Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, made the appeal during the inauguration of various ad-hoc committees held at the Conference Hall of Meena Event Center.
He described the assignment as a sacred trust bestowed by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, stressing that it was aimed at ensuring efficient and transparent service delivery to intending pilgrims.
Matawalle urged all committee members to remain honest, dedicated, and responsible in carrying out their responsibilities, noting that the success of the Hajj operation depends largely on their conduct and commitment.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Yusuf Lawan, expressed appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for approving the appointments of the ad-hoc committee members.
He also prayed for divine guidance and success for all members as they undertake their assigned responsibilities for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The inaugurated committees include Media, Medical, Preachers, Hajj Tribunal, Environment, Social Media, Hisbah, and Security Committees, each tasked with specific operational responsibilities for the pilgrimage exercise.
