The Federal Government has launched a centralised digital platform, services.gov.ng, to provide citizens and businesses with a single point of access to a wide range of government services.
The initiative, launched through the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, is designed to simplify access to public services that were previously spread across multiple agency websites and physical administrative offices.
The platform brings together services including business registration, trade permits, identity verification, regulatory licensing, empowerment programmes and civic services through a unified digital interface.
Citizens and entrepreneurs can use the portal to submit applications, verify official information and access government opportunities online without navigating multiple platforms or relying on third-party intermediaries.
According to the Federal Government, the initiative is part of efforts to advance digital transformation, institutional transparency, public-sector efficiency and improved service delivery under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The platform also provides direct digital access to business and commerce services, official identity management, regulatory licences and various government-backed empowerment initiatives.
The government said the centralised system would help reduce administrative delays and procedural duplication by providing a single, officially verified channel for accessing public services.
It added that the platform would also help protect citizens from fraudulent schemes, fake websites and unreliable intermediaries by directing users to verified government services through one digital gateway.
