The Ahmadu Bello University College of Agriculture Samaru says it has made significant contribution to the training of middle – level man power in Agriculture.
Provost of the college, Prof.. Usman Ibrahim stated this at the Matriculation Ceremony of newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session held at the College premises in Samaru, Zaria.
Prof. Usman Ibrahim noted that the College was not just about acquiring knowledge, rather, challenging assumptions, pushing, boundaries and broadening academic frontiers.
The Provost maintained that the collage offeres programmes like Agricultural Technology, Agric and Bio Environmental Engineering Technology, Science and Laboratories Technology and Home and rural Economics among others.
Prof. Usman Ibrahim hinted that the Programmes offered by the college would greatly assist in ensuring food security and reduce poverty for self reliance.
In his remarks, the Director Division for Agricultural colleges, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Professor Bashir Ahmed Babaji assured the college of maximum support and cooperation to achieve its desired goals.
He also warned the student to avoid engaging in examination malpractice, Cultism, Drug abuse and Indecent Dressing, among others.
The director also congratulated matriculated students and urged them to focus on their studies seriously to achieve success during their studies.
Over four hundred ND and HND students were matriculated.
