The Kano Forum of 44 Local Government Information Officers has extended warm Sallah greetings to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, and other key officials in the state as Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Kabir.
In a statementthe forum congratulated Governor Yusuf, his Deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the Honourable Commissioner of Information, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Adamu Bala Muhammad, and the entire people of Kano State on the joyous occasion.

The forum described the festival as a time to reflect on the virtues of sacrifice, compassion, and unity. “As public servants and custodians of government information at the grassroots level, we take this opportunity to pray for Allah’s continued blessings upon our leaders and the people of Kano State,” the statement read.
The group particularly commended Commissioner Waiya for his unwavering commitment to modernizing the Ministry of Information.
“His dedication to transitioning from analogue to digital information dissemination and organizing capacity-building seminars and workshops for information officers across the state are steps in the right direction,” the statement added.
The forum prayed for Allah’s continued guidance and protection for Waiya as he leads efforts to strengthen information management in the state.
Additionally, the forum lauded Governor Yusuf’s visionary leadership, expressing hope for his administration’s continued success in delivering good governance, security, and development to the people of Kano State.

As residents prepare to celebrate Eid al-Kabir, the forum urged parents and guardians to monitor the movements of their children and ensure their safety during the festivities.
