The Kebbi State Police Command has announced the passing of its Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Aliyu Muhammed, who died while receiving treatment at a hospital in Hotoro, Kano State.
The Command’s spokesperson, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, confirmed the development in a statement issued to journalists in Birnin Kebbi.
According to sources within the Command, DCP Muhammed had been undergoing medical care when his condition suddenly deteriorated, leading to his death.

In the statement, the Commissioner of Police in Kebbi State, CP Bello Sani, described the loss as “regrettable” and extended the Command’s condolences to the officer’s family, noting that further details would be released in due course.
The Police Command stated that the family of the late DCP Muhammed has been notified, and arrangements are underway for funeral and burial rites in accordance with Islamic tradition.
DCP Muhammed was highly respected for his dedication and professionalism. As Deputy Commissioner of Operations, he played a key role in strengthening operational efficiency and advancing community policing initiatives across Kebbi State.
