The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya on the successful completion of his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme.
In a congratulatory message signed by the National President of NAWOJ, Aishatu Ibrahim, and the National Secretary, Comrade Wasilah Ibrahim Ladan, the association described the achievement as a significant academic milestone and a testament to Waiya’s commitment to knowledge, discipline, resilience and continuous self-development.

NAWOJ said the attainment was particularly commendable given the demands of public service and leadership.
The association noted that over the years, Waiya had distinguished himself as a source of inspiration and support to journalists in Kano State, particularly women journalists.

It also acknowledged his contributions to effective information management and his engagement with the media community, which it said had earned him the respect and appreciation of journalists.
The association expressed confidence that the knowledge and intellectual experience acquired through the PhD programme would further enrich his contributions to good governance, public communication and the development of Kano State.

NAWOJ prayed Almighty Allah to continue to guide Waiya, grant him greater wisdom and elevate him to greater heights in his service to humanity.
The association once again congratulated him on what it described as a well-deserved academic achievement.
