The Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Social Vices (YOSPIS) has called on young people in Kano to celebrate Eid in peace, unity, and harmony, shunning all forms of violence and negative behavior.

In a statement, YOSPIS Executive Director Zainab Nasir Ahmad emphasized the importance of fostering an atmosphere of brotherhood and mutual respect during the festive period.
She urged young people to reject violence, drug abuse, and anti-social behavior, and instead engage in community-building activities such as charity work and volunteering.

YOSPIS also appealed to religious and community leaders, parents, and security agencies to play an active role in ensuring a peaceful celebration.
The organization called on political leaders to champion peace and set a positive example for their youth followers.
