The Kano State governorship candidate of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has commended members of the Kwankwasiyya social media team for their commitment and contributions to promoting the movement’s activities across digital platforms.
Speaking during a meeting with over 132 social media representatives of the movement in Kano, Gwarzo described the team as a vital force behind the growing visibility and engagement of the Kwankwasiyya movement online.
The social media team comprises content creators and influencers active on various platforms, including Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, and other digital channels.
According to a statement issued by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Gwarzo expressed appreciation for the dedication and professionalism demonstrated by the team in advancing the movement’s message and activities.
“We have so much respect for the Kwankwasiyya social media team, and they are making us proud,” he said.
The NDC governorship candidate also revealed that the movement’s national leader and the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, had expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance.
“Our national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is very happy with you and proud of your performance,” Gwarzo told the gathering.
Emphasising the importance of effective digital communication in modern politics, Gwarzo pledged to prioritise capacity building initiatives for members of the social media team.
He said the movement would invest in training and retraining programmes to equip members with modern technological tools, communication strategies, and digital skills required to remain effective in the evolving media landscape.
“We believe in training and retraining. We will ensure that training opportunities are provided to you, including modern technological tools and techniques that will enhance your performance,” he stated.
Gwarzo further assured the team of continued support and cooperation as they work to strengthen public engagement and expand the movement’s reach.
He urged members to remain focused, professional, and committed to promoting the ideals of the movement while maintaining ethical standards in their online engagements.
The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the movement’s digital communication structure ahead of future political activities and engagements.
