The Director of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, has decorated six newly promoted officers elevated from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II) at the Centre’s headquarters in Abuja.
The decoration ceremony, marked a significant milestone in the careers of the officers, who were recognised for their service and contributions to the Nigeria Police Force.
In his remarks, CP Henry congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to demonstrate renewed commitment to their duties, especially in combating cybercrime, which remains a growing security concern in the country.
He charged the officers to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, discipline, and integrity, while upholding the rule of law and adhering strictly to established professional standards.
The officers decorated include ASP Abraham Uza, ASP Jiya Narche, ASP Lawal Olanrewaju, ASP Marke Lengkatda, ASP Emmanuel Akhutor, and ASP Taiwo Adekunle.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, they expressed gratitude for the elevation and thanked the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Police Service Commission, and the leadership of the NPF-NCCC for the confidence reposed in them.
They pledged to justify the promotion by remaining professional, dedicated, and committed to serving the nation and supporting the mission of the Nigeria Police Force, particularly in the fight against cybercrime.
The ceremony formed part of ongoing efforts by the police leadership to strengthen capacity and enhance professionalism within the force’s specialised cybercrime unit.
