The Federal Medical Centre Abuja has conducted its second Computer-Based Test (CBT) for 582 internship applicants seeking placement in various healthcare disciplines, including Radiology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Science and Nursing.
The examination, was conducted in two batches at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Model Study Centre, Dutse, Abuja.
The CBT forms part of the Centre’s recruitment process for internship positions aimed at strengthening the healthcare workforce and providing practical training opportunities for young professionals.
Speaking shortly before the commencement of the exercise, the Medical Director of FMC Abuja, Prof. Saad Ahmed, expressed appreciation to the candidates for choosing the institution for their internship programme and assured them of a fair and transparent selection process.
“We appreciate all the applicants for considering FMC Abuja for their internship programme. I want to assure you that this exercise will be conducted with utmost transparency and fairness,” he said.
He encouraged candidates to remain focused and confident throughout the examination process, wishing them success in the selection exercise.
The CBT was coordinated under the supervision of the Director of Administration, Mrs. Aisha Momoh, through the Appointment and Promotion Unit led by Mrs. Emedolu Ngozi. Members of the Centre’s Top Management Committee and other key staff also monitored the exercise to ensure compliance with established procedures.
The Centre noted that the successful conduct of the examination reflects its continued commitment to merit-based recruitment, transparency and excellence in human resource management.
The exercise reportedly concluded smoothly, with officials expressing satisfaction over the orderly conduct and coordination of the process.
The large turnout of 582 applicants highlights the growing reputation of FMC Abuja as a preferred institution for clinical internship training.
