The executive secretary Nigerian Christian pilgrims commission NCPC , Bishop Stephen Adegbite says Jesus died on the cross to redeem mankind
In his Esther message, Adegbite says the occasion also brings humanity closer to God who released His only son to liberate the world from sin.
He explained that the resurrection of Jesus Christ brings hope, victory, joy and salvation to mankind.
” Easter marks the resurrection of the death of our Lord Jesus Christ, a culmination of his sacrifice and death in atonement of our sin”
The executive secretary urged Christians to always show their love to their neighbors irrespective of their religious beliefs as Easter season is the Hallmark of salvation.
According to him, Easter provides another opportunity for Christians to reflect on their relationship with God and a time for spiritual upliftment.
Adegbite appealed to leaders at all levels to have compassion for their followers and make life meaningful for humanity.
“Leaders must follow what Jesus Christ did for us so that God will harken our cries; and Nigeria will not be an abandoned project”
He urged Christians to continue praying for the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the president Bola Tinubu led administration.
