The Aliko Dangote Foundation ADF has flagged off a massive food intervention program in Borno State, aiming to support 40,000 vulnerable families with a donation of 40,000 bags of 10kg rice.
Speaking at the launch of the program in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum praised the Foundation’s generosity, stating that the donation will help cushion economic hardship for vulnerable families, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Governor, who was represented by the Director General of Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mr. Ali Abdullahi Isa, commended the Foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting social welfare.
In his remarks, the representative of the Aliko Dangote Foundation, Mr. Usman Muhammad, explained that the gesture is aimed at supporting government efforts to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.
He added that the donation is targeted at the poor and vulnerable persons in the state.

Beneficiaries of the program, including Ms Aisha Modu and Umaru Aliyu, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating that it will go a long way in alleviating their economic hardship.
The Aliko Dangote Foundation’s food intervention program is part of its nationwide effort to distribute one million bags of rice worth N16 billion across the 774 local government areas in Nigeria.
