The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kano State Sector Command, has expressed deep condolences to the Kano State Government and the State House of Assembly over the death of two serving lawmakers.
The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Idris Mohammed Lawal, conveyed the message of sympathy in a statement issued on Thursday, mourning the passing of the legislators and describing their deaths as a significant loss to the state.
FRSC Kano Marks African Road Safety Day, World Remembrance
According to the statement, which was made available to journalists on Friday in Kano by the Public Relations Officer of the Corps, CRC Abdullahi Labaran, Lawal commiserated with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibrin Ismail Falgore, members of the Assembly, and the entire people of Kano State.
The deceased lawmakers are Hon. Aminu Sa’ad, who represented Ungogo Local Government Constituency, and Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, who represented Kano Municipal Local Government Constituency. They reportedly passed away on December 24, 2025.
Lawal described the late legislators as committed and dedicated public servants whose contributions to legislative development and democratic governance in Kano State would be greatly missed.
He noted that the FRSC recognised the invaluable roles played by the deceased in promoting peace, unity and the overall development of Kano State, adding that their demise was a great loss not only to their constituencies but also to the state and the nation at large.

The sector commander prayed for Allah to grant the departed lawmakers eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and to give their families, the Kano State Government and the House of Assembly the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He further reaffirmed the solidarity of the FRSC with the government and people of Kano State during this period of mourning.
