Former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has congratulated Muslims across Kano State and Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, urging residents to uphold the values of spirituality, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence.
In an Eid-el-Kabir message issued on Tuesday through his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Gwarzo called on Muslims to reflect on the virtues of obedience, patience and unwavering faith as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
He also extended warm felicitations to the national leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as well as members and supporters of the movement across the country.
The former deputy governor urged the people of Kano State to continue promoting unity, tolerance and harmony during and after the festive season.
“I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Kano and Nigeria a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” he stated.
Gwarzo also called on eligible Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing the voter card as a critical instrument for democratic participation and change ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He further prayed for sustained peace, progress and prosperity in Kano State and Nigeria at large.
