The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation, in collaboration with the Kano State Healthcare Forum, has donated food items and essential drugs to residents of the Shahuci Old People Home in Kano State.
The outreach, which took place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, is part of efforts to support the health and wellbeing of elderly residents and complement the state government’s initiatives on social welfare.
Items donated during the visit included bags of rice, beans, cooking oil, and essential medications.
The delegation was accompanied by officials from key government agencies, including the Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, the Kano State Emergency Management Agency, the Kano State Social Protection Agency, as well as representatives from the offices of the Special Adviser and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs and Support Groups.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of AMG Foundation, Aminu Magashi Garba, highlighted the foundation’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.
He noted that the foundation had previously donated items such as mats, blankets, and hygiene materials to the facility.
Magashi emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders and urged proper utilization of the donated items to maximize impact.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Emergency Management Agency, Isyaku Abdullahi Kubarachi, commended the gesture and called on other organizations and individuals to emulate the initiative.
The visit marks the fourth outreach by AMG Foundation to rehabilitation centres under SEMA. Magashi reaffirmed his commitment to visiting and supporting all 13 centres under the agency, in line with his pledge.
