The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has announced that the return airlift of pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will commence on Sunday, June 14, 2026, following the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The Board disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday, noting that preparations have been concluded to ensure the safe, orderly, and timely transportation of pilgrims back to Nigeria.
According to the statement, the commencement of the return flights marks the beginning of a coordinated operation designed to facilitate the smooth movement of all Niger State pilgrims from the Holy Land.
The Board urged pilgrims to strictly adhere to all official guidelines and cooperate with relevant officials to guarantee a seamless and hitch-free return process.
Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, commended the pilgrims for their patience, discipline, and exemplary conduct throughout the pilgrimage.
He expressed appreciation for their cooperation during the Hajj exercise and prayed for their safe journey back home.
Sheikh Aliyu further assured pilgrims, their families, and the general public that details of subsequent return flights would be communicated in due course.
The annual Hajj pilgrimage, one of the five pillars of Islam, attracts millions of Muslims from across the world to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
