The spotlight once again falls on Kebbi State as Governor Dr. Nasir Idris, popularly known as Kauran Gwandu, earned high commendation from members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) for his remarkable leadership and success in uniting major political figures across the state.
The commendation came during the APC Governors’ meeting held in Birnin Kebbi, followed by a stakeholders’ session at the Presidential Banquet Hall.

Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, who spoke on behalf of the forum, lauded Governor Idris for his warm hospitality, visionary governance, and inclusive leadership.
“We are in Birnin Kebbi for our regular Progressive Governors’ meeting, and I must confirm that we are all impressed by the wonderful reception extended to us by the Governor of Kebbi State,” Uzodimma said.
“Governor Idris has demonstrated wisdom and maturity by bringing together key political actors — from serving and former Governors to National Assembly members and local government chairmen. Kebbi State has become a model of unity and political harmony.”
Uzodimma particularly praised the visible cooperation among top political stakeholders, including Senators Adamu Aliero and Atiku Bagudu, describing their presence together as “a sign of peace and understanding” fostered under Governor Idris’ leadership.

He further applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing economic reforms, noting that while they initially posed challenges, the benefits are now becoming evident, with gradual relief across the country.
Governor Nasir Idris continues to receive national recognition for his commitment to peacebuilding, political inclusion, and the consolidation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State.
Under his administration, Kebbi has emerged as a symbol of political stability, mutual respect, and progressive governance in Northern Nigeria.
