The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended warm Christmas felicitations to Christians in Kano State and across Nigeria as they celebrate the festive season.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Speaker’s Spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Falgore called for unity, tolerance, and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians, describing Christmas as a season that promotes love, sacrifice, compassion, and togetherness.
He urged the Christian faithful to continue to live in harmony with people of all faiths, stressing that peaceful co-existence remains fundamental to national unity, sustainable development, and effective nation-building.
The Speaker also highlighted the progress recorded by the Kano State House of Assembly, noting that Honourable Members have remained resilient in their commitment to providing quality legislation aimed at improving the living standards of the people of Kano.
According to him, the 10th Assembly has demonstrated clear signs of stronger and more responsive legislative output.
“I am convinced that the Kano State House of Assembly under my watch is doing everything possible to deliver quality legislation, irrespective of tribe or religion, to promote sustainable growth, job creation, and shared prosperity,”.
He reaffirmed the Assembly’s unwavering support for the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, whose administration, he said, remains committed to creating a conducive environment for all citizens, regardless of religion, tribe, or social status.
On behalf of the entire Kano State House of Assembly, the Speaker wished Christians a joyful Christmas celebration and prayed for lasting peace, progress, and prosperity for Kano State and Nigeria.
