Ramatu Garba A Kano State High Court of Appeal, fixed May 9th  to hear a suit filed by a Kano Cleric,Sheikh Abduljabbar Kabara, who was sentenced to death by hanging for blasphemy. Ramatu Garba The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Kano State Command, says 30 per cent of its convicted inmates have been empowered with various vocational skills to cater for the needs of their families. Excessive bleeding after child birth known as Postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) has been identified as the leading cause of maternal death world wide. A Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology College of Health Sciences Aminu Kano teaching hospital Professor Hadiza Galadanci made the disclosure during a symposium on the celebration of safe motherhood day 2024.
